Technical Seminar “KPIs for Lift Maintenance Performance Evaluation”

Programme Highlights
Quality lift maintenance work is pivotal to the comfort and safety of countless high-rise building users. To establish a standard set of key performance indicators (KPIs) for lift maintenance services, a PolyU-BSOMES joint research project was conducted. The project’s Principal Investigator, Ir Prof Joseph Lai, will share in this seminar the study process and findings, including the identification of applicable performance indicators, categorization and derivation of the identified indicators, how the indicators were shortlisted to become KPIs, the steps taken to validate the application of the KPIs, and the validation result.

Ir Prof Joseph Lai

Ir Prof Lai is a Fellow Member of BSOMES, CIBSE, HKIE and HKIFM. He has received various awards including the Distinguished Educator Award of the International Facility Management Association. Being an Associate Head of the Department of Building Environment and Energy Engineering of The Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU), Ir Prof Lai also serves as Co-Editor of the Facilities journal and Associate Editor of the Smart and Sustainable Built Environment journal.

Fee

Free of Charge; first-come-first-served. 1.5-hour CPD Certificate will be issued by the Organizers.

Registration and enquiry

For registration, please complete the Registration Form in the following "Online Registration Link or QR code”. The maximum number of participants is 493. Priority will be given to the members of the Organizers and Supporting Organizations. The deadline of application is 23 February 2024 (Thursday). Names of successful applicants will be informed by confirmation e-mail by no later than 26 February 2024 (Monday), which shall be presented at the registry of the venue entrance for verification. If the applicants have not received the confirmation e-mail on or before 26 February 2024, their applications will be regarded as NOT successful. 

If a typhoon signal no. 8 or black rainstorm signal is in force and still hoisted after 17:00 hrs of 27 February 2024, the talk would be cancelled without further arrangement or notification.
